MP4 uploads are supported

You do not need to identify the title or extract metadata first. The recognition workflow uses the soundtrack from a short MP4 clip.

Built for background music

Use a section with minimal speech and effects to identify music heard in social posts, films, adverts, shops, or creator videos.

Private, short-lived processing

Uploads travel over an encrypted connection, are deleted after recognition, and abandoned files automatically expire within 24 hours.

HOW IT WORKS

Three simple steps

  1. 01

    Choose the clearest timestamp

Find 10–15 seconds where the music is louder than dialogue, narration, transitions, or environmental noise.

  2. 02

    Upload the short clip

Keep the file under 5 MB. If the original video is large, export or trim only the useful section first.

  3. 03

    Check the soundtrack match

Compare the returned preview with the video, then open Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube to confirm the track.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Can I identify a song directly from an MP4?

Yes. Upload a short MP4 file under 5 MB and the recognition service will use its audio track.

Does the tool analyze video frames?

No. It uses the sound in the video for song recognition and does not analyze the visual content.

Can it identify music under dialogue?

Sometimes, but accuracy improves when speech and effects are quiet. Try a different timestamp or use description search when music is heavily covered.
